Peer Review Process
Author(s) must submit their article through Open Journal System (OJS) to be eligible for publication in SJTL. The submitted manuscrip must follow focus and scope and the author guidelines. All manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism before going through the review process (at least two reviewers for an article). If there is any evidence of plagiarism (more than 20% similarity), the manuscript will be rejected right away. We only publish articles that have been reviewed and approved by highly qualified researchers with expertise in a field appropriate.

In a simple terms, the steps are as follows:
- Submitting of Manuscript (by author) (Step 1)
- Review and selection of manuscripts (by manager and editors) (Step 2). Editors have the authority to approve, reject, or evaluate directly. Each paper is subjected to a plagiarism check utilizing turtitin before moving on to the next step of the process.
- The Reviewing Process for Manuscripts (by reviewers) (Steps 3 and 4).
- Acceptance, Revision, or Rejection of Manuscript (by editor to author based on reviewers' remarks) (Step 5).
- Revision of the Paper (by author).
- Revision Submission (by author) based on Reviewer Suggestions with a similar flow to point number 1.
- If the reviewer appears satisfied with the revision, the notification for acceptance is sent (by editor).
- The galley proofing and publishing process (Step 6) (Step 7 and 8)
The decision of the manuscrip will be considered by journal editor and editorial board base on review result from reviewers. The most common decisions are as follows:
- Accept without changes (acceptance): the journal will publish the manuscript in its current form.
- Accept with minor revisions (acceptance): the journal will publish the paper but will urge the author to make minor changes
- Accept after major revisions (conditional acceptance): the journal will publish the paper if the authors make the changes suggested by the reviewers and/or editor.
- Revise and resubmit (conditional rejection): the journal is willing to reconsider the paper after the authors make major changes.
Reject the paper (blatant rejection): even if the authors make significant amendments, the journal will not publish or reconsider the paper.
