Plagiarism Policy
JKI-SD has a strict policy against plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism. Authors must not present the ideas, data, or words of others as their own and must properly cite and attribute all sources. All submissions are screened for originality using Turnitin before being sent to reviewers.
- If the similarity rate is below 15%, the manuscript is considered acceptable and will proceed directly to the peer review stage. This indicates that a very low level of similarity is still within acceptable limits in academic writing.
- If the similarity rate falls within the range of 15% to 30%, the manuscript will not be immediately rejected; instead, it will be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission. In this case, authors are required to reduce the level of similarity and ensure that all sources are properly cited in accordance with academic standards.
- If the similarity rate exceeds 30%, the manuscript will be rejected without undergoing the review process. This reflects that a high level of similarity is regarded as a serious violation of publication ethics.
Note: If plagiarism is detected in a published article, the article will be retracted in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines, which serve as an international standard for addressing violations of publication ethics.
